Network Meetings, Toronto/Ottawa

We have close to 40 organizations, committed to WASH in Canada, who clearly understand the need and importance of working collectively and across sectors to increase our impact.

&nbsp

Now that we have picked up some momentum as a group, we are moving into our next phase, i.e. to ensure that the goals we have set are sustainable, meet the needs of the partnership and our coalition has longevity.

&nbsp

We were pleased to have so many join us on February 18, 2014, from 1:30-4:30 pm in Toronto, and Monday February 24, from 1:30-4:30pm in Ottawa, for our round-table discussions on the best way to ensure sustainability of the WASH Canada coalition in Canada.

&nbsp

The Toronto meeting was held at the offices of one of our founding partners:
The Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation

The Ottawa meeting was held at the Oxfam Offices. Many thanks to RESULTS Canada for helping make these arrangements.

We spent this time together focusing on what we would most like to accomplish together as members of the WASH Canada community. Please see the attachment for some details on what WASH Canada has accomplished to date and a few thoughts on what is required to build an effective and lasting WASH Canada coalition.
If you are a Canadian WASH organization and would like to join our network and future discussions, please contact the WASH Canada office.
